A Vision Rooted in Faith, Compassion, and the Belief That Lasting Development Begins with People
Dr. Keuleya Ruth Ble is a medical doctor licensed to practice medicine in Côte d'Ivoire, a country in West Africa. As the founder of Global Approach To Development (GAD), she believes that meaningful and sustainable development begins with investing in people, particularly children, who represent the future of every community and nation.
In 2014, Dr. Ble founded Global Approach To Development with a vision to address the social and economic challenges facing underserved communities in Africa. Her conviction was simple yet profound: a nation cannot achieve lasting development when its children lack access to education, its families struggle to obtain clean drinking water, and its communities live without basic healthcare.

Where Faith Meets Humanitarian Action
Global Approach To Development was established in 2014 as a humanitarian initiative to work alongside the missionary efforts of LAMICI, a Christian missionary organization dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and establishing churches in underserved and unreached communities.
Through its missionary work, LAMICI often travels to remote villages and isolated communities where access to basic necessities is extremely limited. These are places where children may walk miles to attend school, families may depend on unsafe water sources, and individuals suffering from preventable or treatable illnesses have little or no access to medical care.
As missionaries enter these communities to share the Gospel and establish churches, they develop meaningful relationships with local families and leaders. Through these relationships, they hear firsthand about the challenges people face every day. Communities express their need for schools, clean drinking water, healthcare facilities, and opportunities to improve their living conditions.
For Dr. Ble, these needs present both a humanitarian responsibility and an opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ through tangible acts of compassion.
The Gospel calls us not only to proclaim God's love but also to demonstrate that love through our actions.
Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, who ministered to both the spiritual and physical needs of those He encountered, Dr. Ble envisioned an organization that would complement evangelism with practical, sustainable solutions to human suffering.
While LAMICI focuses on evangelism, discipleship, leadership training, and church planting, Global Approach To Development seeks to address the social and developmental needs of the same communities.
Together, these missions reflect a holistic approach to serving humanity: nurturing spiritual growth while creating opportunities for healthier, more educated, and economically empowered communities.
As Scripture reminds us:
“Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?”
This biblical principle lies at the heart of GAD's mission: faith must be accompanied by meaningful action.

Building Stronger Communities Through Integrated Development
Dr. Ble recognizes that the challenges facing underserved communities are deeply interconnected. Poverty, limited education, poor health, unsafe drinking water, and inadequate infrastructure often reinforce one another, creating cycles of hardship that persist across generations.
For this reason, she advocates an integrated approach to community development, one that addresses multiple needs simultaneously rather than treating each challenge in isolation.
Under her vision, GAD's work is guided by three fundamental pillars:
Education: Investing in the Next Generation
Dr. Ble believes that childhood development and access to quality education are essential foundations for economic progress. When children have the opportunity to learn, they gain the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to shape their futures, support their families, and contribute to their communities.
Education does more than transform individual lives. It develops future teachers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and innovators who can contribute to the long-term development of their nations.
Clean Water: Protecting Health and Restoring Dignity
Access to safe drinking water is a basic human necessity, yet many rural communities continue to face significant barriers to obtaining it.
Without reliable clean water, families face preventable illnesses, children miss school, and women and girls may spend hours each day collecting water instead of pursuing education or economic opportunities.
By prioritizing access to clean water and improved sanitation, GAD seeks to strengthen public health, reduce preventable suffering, and create healthier environments where families and communities can thrive.
Healthcare: Creating the Foundation for Human Potential
As a physician, Dr. Ble understands that health is fundamental to human development. A child suffering from preventable disease cannot fully benefit from education. A parent struggling with untreated illness may be unable to work or provide for their family.
Improving access to healthcare, preventive education, and essential medical resources helps communities build healthier and more productive lives.
Dr. Ble believes that healthcare should not be viewed simply as a response to illness, but as an investment in human potential and long-term economic stability.
04
Empowering Communities, Not Creating Dependency
At the center of Dr. Ble's philosophy is the belief that sustainable development must involve the people it is intended to serve.
Rather than imposing outside solutions, GAD seeks to listen to communities, understand their priorities, respect their cultural values, and work collaboratively with local leaders to identify practical and lasting solutions.
Her vision extends beyond providing temporary assistance. It is about empowering communities to develop the knowledge, resources, infrastructure, and opportunities necessary to sustain their own progress.
True development is not measured solely by the number of buildings constructed, wells drilled, or services delivered. It is measured by the lasting improvements in people's lives and their ability to build a better future for themselves and generations to come.
05
A Vision for Africa's Future
Dr. Ble believes that Africa's greatest resource is its people. The continent's long-term prosperity depends not only on its natural resources, infrastructure, or economic investments, but also on the health, education, and empowerment of its population.
A country cannot fully prosper when large segments of its population remain excluded from basic opportunities. Likewise, economic growth cannot be considered truly transformative if it does not improve the daily lives of ordinary families.
For Dr. Ble, national development begins at the community level, community development begins with the family, and the future of every family begins with its children.
By bringing together education, clean water, healthcare, community participation, and faith-inspired compassion, she envisions a future in which even the most remote and underserved communities have opportunities to flourish.
Her ultimate aspiration is to help break cycles of poverty, strengthen communities, and raise a generation of healthy, educated, confident, and empowered young people who will become agents of change in their own countries.

More Than a Mission — A Calling to Serve
For Dr. Ble, Global Approach To Development is more than a humanitarian organization. It is an expression of her Christian faith, her medical calling, and her commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable populations.
She believes that every person, regardless of where they were born or the circumstances into which they were born, deserves dignity, opportunity, and hope.
Through GAD, she seeks to ensure that the communities reached through missionary work are not only introduced to the message of Jesus Christ but also experience His love through acts of service, compassion, and practical support.
Her guiding conviction is that the most powerful way to transform a nation is to invest in its people — and the most meaningful way to share God's love is to demonstrate it through action.
“Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
